Mahila Mandiram envisages a complete woman as an integral part of a developing society. Our aim is to work for the betterment of women in every area of their life irrespective of religion and caste. Our concern is with the care, education, empowerment and rehabilitation of needy girl children and women.
We define ourselves – as per the 1991 UNICEF statement – as a "Non-Governmental Organisation that can contribute substantially by focusing attention on the girl child in their community based activities".
